2001 Nissan Sentra GXE

Reader Question: My car 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE standard is dying and my step dad told me it was probably my fuel filter. I called a repair place and they told me that my car did not have a fuel filter.

Do you know if this is true?

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hey there Kasey,

I do not show a fuel filter for your vehicle in my books either. Some vehicles have the fuel filter made onto the bottom of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.

You might want to call the dealership parts department and verify that with them just to be sure, but it appears that is what your vehicle is using.

There also could be a chance that the after market parts manufacturers have not produced a filter for your vehicle yet, but I kinda doubt that is the case.
