1995 Ford Escort Engine Noise – Is It the Lifters or Oil Pump?

I have a question about a 1995 ford escort. The engine started to make a loud noise, I believe it’s the lifters. What would cause the lifters to make a loud noise? Plus, the car was getting hot. Did the oil pump fail or is something clogged, or does it simply need a oil change? The oil was changed less than 6 months ago.

Chevy 1500 Pick Up Oil and Fuel Gauges Not Working Properly

I have a problem with my Fuel gauge and Oil pressure gauges. The oil pressure gauge is not functioning at all but my fuel gauge works a little bit. Explanation: 1988 Chevy c1500, 2WD, 305 with Auto Trans. The fuel gauge normally sits on 1/4 tank when full and seems to drop when getting low on gas. I never let it get too low for fear of running out. I never know how much fuel I have in there. I’ve done some reading / searching for answers and I think it may be the fuel sending unit? Do you think this is correct?

I have a 1974 Chevy K20, 14 bolt open rear differential. I have replaced the axle bearings, seals, and fluid. No metal particles were found in old fluid. when I turn Right. the inside or Right tire spins at the same rate, as if there was a locker.. also when I back up and turn Left. the Left inside tire does the same thing… but neither seems to do it going the opposite direction. This started a week ago, and doing the above work had no effect on the condition.

Can I install a Carburetor on a 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis?

My question is: I own a 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis. It came all flubbed up, as the previous owner tried to eliminate the Emissions system thinking it would make it more powerful, etc. He eliminated the cats, and bypassed some of the vaccum system. The computer system didn’t like that, and read that the car needed to be run extra rich which made the car basically dump gas in the system. The owner got fed up with having to spend so much money on gas and every 4 months or so removing the spark plugs to clean them due to being fouled by fuel.

2001 VW Passat Driver Side Headlight Has High Beam Only

I have a 2001 VW Passat that left headlight is not working on low beam. The left high beam does work. I have changed bulbs, and fuses but the left low beam still does not work. The right side headlight does work on low/high beam.I have also tried switching the left headlight bulb with the working right headlight bulb. When the right side bulb is placed on the left side it will not work on low beam. The old left headlight bulb (non-working low beam when in left) does work high/low beam on the right side.

Does Intake Spacer Plate Increase Engine Performance?

I have a Ford F-150 2004 with a 5.4L V8. Is it worth to use a throttle body spacer to improve the performance? I already have a KN cool air intake on it, but I keep reading on the extra performance for the money that you get with a spacer. Also, if doing it, does the brand matter Airraid has one for $105, TransDapt and Summitracing have one for less than $50 or any reputable brand and the right model for the engine is all that is needed?

Plymouth Voyager EGR Valve – What Causes This Code?

Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I have a 1993 Plymouth Voyager SE. For about 4 or 5 months I’ve had an EGR Valve code coming up. I have changed the EGR valve, the EGR transducer and checked to see if the transducer is getting power, which it is. My father-in-law said he read something about a hose from the exhaust manifold that brings the gas back to the EGR might be clogged and need cleaning out. Any help on this, would be a big help.
