I have the same 98 Chev K1500 with ABS which sometimes, only at slow speeds, activates the ABS, actually pushing back on the brake pedal. Its always unnerving and I usually respond by pressing hard on the brake.
I have a 98 Voyager minivan with no ABS. It shakes badly when I apply breaks on high speed. Shaking goes away when it goes below 40 KM/H. I already have its drums and break shoes replaced for rear brakes and also have its rotor replaced for front brakes.
I was wondering, have you seen in your experience that Dodge OEM Brake Pads are much better than aftermarket models? I was told by a dodge dealership that the original quality pads the car came with would be much better than aftermarket.
While driving home the brakes just gave out on my 2000 Dodge Neon… (When pressing the brake it would not depress to the floor). I had to press extremely hard in order for the brakes to catch but still the pedal did not depress.
I have a beautiful 1996 Lincoln Town car. Only 80,000 mi. The front brake rotors have been replaced with new ones, also new pads. Mine you the car vibrated in the front before when applying the brakes, so everything was replaced. It still does the same thing with the new parts. Could it be something with the ABS and why would it still vibrate? This really has me puzzled.
