I have a 1991 Honda Accord which I have for almost 2 years now. during the start of summer here in Atlanta, my A/C is not working. a local shop said that my condenser was damaged, since i don’t have money to pay him the labor, i bought a new condenser and drier and replaced them myself. the local shop converted my system to R134 and put some dye to detect leaks.
I have a 1993 Ford Mustang that I have converted to 134A I put a new drier and a new AC compressor on the car. The problem is I fill the system and use gages to check my PSI and everything looks good, I turn off the car and let it sit for a day and then I start it and turn on the AC and my Freon blows out the PSI valve on the compressor. I did vac the system down before I filled it. What should I do? I have been told my condenser is plugged? Any help would be a great help.
I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima. I just took it yesterday to get the the A/C refilled. I thought it had a leak because last year i got it fillled , and now this year, it was so empty that the compressor would even click on. So yesterday i got a U.V dye leak test done on it wjich showed no leaks. So they just filled it up, took my money and sent me on my way. I noticed that it was a little bit cooler than warm. But after maybe an hour and half i Did notice it got cooler. The problem is what is taking the car A/C so long to get cool and why? Thanks Your help would be greatly appreciated.
I just had a quick question regarding the A/C in my 1987 Honda Accord. I just had a refurbished compressor put in my honda in 2004 – and I’ve only used the a/c for – I guess about 2 seasons. Well, I started having some trouble last fall (2005) with my a/c. I took it to a repair shop and they said I would need a new compressor. Well, since my car is RATHER old to be investing $1000 or more into it – I took it upon myself to put some Refrigerant R-134a in the system. Well, the a/c starting working for a couple of months (2 to be exact) – then stopped once again. I had another mechanic look at it again – and they told me the same thing and now I needed a new compressor or a refurbished one.
I have been having recent problems with Air Conditioning in my 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Last week, the air conditioning stopped working. Air still flows out of the vents, but the air is warm around the same temperature as the vent setting. Usually when I switch from ventilation mode to air conditioning, I am able to hear the compressor click and turn on. The engine also revs up. I no longer observe this.
I got a Nissan ALTIMA GLE 2000 nad it makes a hissing sound whenever i switch on the AC and it is very hot outside and the sound is like as if the engine is missing and then this sound keeps coming after every few minutes say 5-10 minutes. This sound only comes only when the AC is running.

My wife’s 2001 GMC Yukon XL is having air conditioning problems. It makes a noise under the hood when accelerating, yet when she turns the AC off the noise stops. After reaching cruising speed, the noise stops. Now, however it is not blowing cool air. She took it to the dealer service center and they told her she needs $1,700 of repair work done.
My 2000 Nissan 200SX air conditioner is not cold enough at stops or at idle speed. Could this be an electic cooling fan problem or could it be a compressor problem?
