1994 Pontiac Trans Am Runs Rough Then Engine Dies

I have a 94 trans am and when i get on it it runs good until about 3,000 rpm to 5200 rpm then when it shifts into 2nd it runs good for a slit second then it runs rough and backfires and stuff again, the car left my boy and i stranded the other night, it acted like a carberated car ,you would give it gas and the rpms would go down until it stalled and couldn’t be restarted until about 20 minutes later, it would go p,p p,p, then finally started,i put a new fuel filter on and cleaned the throttle plate, and so far it didn’t live me stranded any more but runs bad @ higher rpms.

1996 Pontiac Trans Am Lower Radiator Hose Blows Off Radiator

I have a 96 Pontiac Trans Am; 6 speed. I have just recently installed a harmonic balancer, electric water pump, radiator, cold air intake, mass airflow sensor, 52mm throttle body, and distributor cap and rotor. My mechanic modified the wiring where the electric fans are running all the time. Despite this, I have had my lower radiator hose blow off three times in the past two weeks. Could you please tell me what this could be.

Loud Engine Noise In My Car After Replacing My Clutch

Hi!!! Ok, I burned out my first clutch. I got it replaced by a mechanic on the side (not at a shop) When we started it up for the first time after the clutch was installed it sounded normal. After we got back from a test drive I noticed a weird noise coming from the engine. The check engine light didn’t even come on until the next day of driving. The night before, we had a very cold night (freezing) here in Texas it was around 28 degrees. I don’t know what could have happened to the engine it still runs strong. I’m thinking maybe there’s a spark plug that messed up or something, but I’m not too sure its safe to drive without messing it up. I don’t know if it’s because the car was sitting for a while without being turned on, then it went through the freeze (with antifreeze), or the clutch installation. I hear the noise when I turn it on but after it warms up there’s nothing. What do you think? Please respond A.S.A.P. and I appreciate everything!!!!!

Chevy Truck Automatic Transmission is Slipping – Do I Need an Overhaul?

A friend of mine has a 1997 Chevy Silverado with an automatic transmission. About two months ago she was driving and the transmission line that goes into the cooler came out. That was replaced along with the fluid. Now there has been problems with the transmission revving up higher than normal, or not shifting properly. Sometimes not wanting to go over about 30 mph. Does this mean that the transmission needs to be replaced?

2001 Ford Explorer Engine Won’t Stay Running With Foot Off Gas Pedal

I have a 2001 Ford Explorer with 44,000 miles. Recently, especially after it has not been running, the car will start but not stay running with really holding down the accelerator for a few seconds. I thought it was due to the cold weather because it seemed to start and run fine the rest of the day. This morning, it would not stay running. It will start, stay running as long as I give it gas, but as soon as I let off it won’t stay running. I would like to have some idea prior to taking it in to see someone.

Ford Probe Engine Overheats – Temperature Gauge Moves Around

I have a Ford Probe 1996 model. Three weeks back, the temperature gauge went up to H. I stopped the car immediately, waited a little while and put coolant. Went to the mechanic next day, he changed the thermostat. After that, it just fluctuates, it goes from 1/2 to 3/4 but doesn’t go completely to the H part. It comes back to the 1/2 mark in less than 30-35 seconds. What could be the problem?
