I am having trouble with my heater in my 2003 Chevy impala it takes so long for my heater to work if if it ever works. My temp gauge goes all the way to half way mark but blows cold air then sometimes the gauge gets lower to about a quarter of the way and it starts getting warm.but it mostly blows cold air Should it be my thermostat?
My 1999 Pontiac Grand Am is having ignition switch problems but I think they are related to the Transmission being in park. It of course has a safety where you can not cut the car off and take out the key unless the car is in park. It has started not always wanting to turn completely to off. Then of course I can’t get the key out. I put the car in park(it does actually go in park) and cut the ignition off but it stops right before the off indicator. I have noticed that after I hear a click sound coming from under the gear shifter, the key will then be able to be released and turned completely to off. No problems in actual gear shifting just this issue. Would this be a transmission problem or separate from transmission? Sound very expensive to fix?
My wife and I have had a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire SE for about 6 months now and it has run perfectly thus far. It has a 2.2L 4-Cylinder engine with an automatic front-wheel-drive trans axle. Yesterday, out of the blue, I noticed the transmission was slipping.
My mechanic says there is nothing to do about v. noisy front brakes for my VW Passat 1993. He says it’s the age of the car… I don’t know how to accept that there is nothing to do since the noise started out low and became louder over the last couple of weeks..to the point that it is cause for my concern. the brakes function physically excellently.
Good day to you and happy New Year Davis I have LUMINA 2001 140000 Km the ATM oil mixed with coolant the problem was in the radiator ,Repaired and I changed the ATM oil 3 times with the new filter, is this suffices? start the engine shifting OK but there is vibration when ATM at Park potion I feel The body and the steering vibrate while acceleration is this normal?
I have a 2001 Pontiac Firebird TA and my rear defroster has not worked for a while.. I was going through my owners manual and found the fuse and replaced it.. still nothing.. the button on the dash board console will not light and the rear defroster won’t come one but the heater and air condition works just fine.. any ideas what I can try next? Any idea’s at this point would be greatly appreciated!!
1995 Chevy Camero with less than 70,000 miles – had been starting it once a week, but then didn’t when I tried to start after 3 weeks all i got was clicks – charged it myself to no avail – took to auto parts place they charged and tested it battery ok??
I have a 1986 VW scirocco 1.8 litre 8 valve I replaced the master cylinder, flex lines to the front calipers, calipers and rotors. Now my front brakes will not release. The master cylinder cap seems like it gets very tight as if there is allot of pressure building up. Any ideas what would cause this. Any advice is appreciated.
My wife drives a 2000 Oldsmobile Allero. Recently, it began making a grinding/scratching noise when driving at very slow speeds (slower than 10 mph or so) while both accelerating and decelerating. The noise is almost more noticeable from inside the car than out. She thinks it also occurs while turning right more frequently than while turning left.
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer sport. Everything seemed fine, except last night, when I took it for a spin around the block, I noticed that whenever I turned, I felt a pretty good vibration/shaking on the front of my truck.
