1997 GMC Yukon 2DR
I have a 1997 GMC Yukon 2DR with a 350 and auto transmission, and about 130,000 miles. I have noticed two problems. The first is that the idle is a bit rough, and sometimes when I shift into reverse from park, the engine dies.

My dad took his 1980 Ford F250 Super Duty truck to a mechanics shop. They told him the motor was blown and they would replace it with a used motor for $1,300.
My 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass rear defroster stopped working yesterday. I checked the fuse and its ok and the power light is on when I press the button on the dash, but it does not defrost.
I have a 1990 GMC Sierra V8. Recently, it just would not start. The lights/radio/other electrical components work fine; it just will not turn over. I had it towed to a mechanic’s shop where they said they did a computer diagnostic test on it and narrowed it down to the starter. They were going to charge me $209 + tax to fix it.
Our 2002 Land Rover Freelander’s transmission gave up on us about 2 weeks ago (it does not want to go to third gear). We bought it used at a used car dealer with 53K miles on it; it now has around 73K.
I just purchased a 2000 Honda Passport with 92k. I noticed after running the engine for a few minutes I could smell oil and there was a black liquid substance coming out of the tailpipe.
My 1999 Volvo S70 got new brake pads about 4 months ago and have been squealing ever since. I just had the tie rod fixed and new spring clips put on.
I have a 2000 Buick Century that is acting funny. When I first start car I am able to drive reverse whichever gear I need. Once I drive for a while and stop at a light or something it does not want to go in gear car is still running but will not catch any gear.
My 1999 Nissan Altima has 18,300 mi on it and I seem to have one problem after the next. When I start my car it chugs and kind of does a zzz….zzzz….zzz noise and has the same feeling.
I have a 2005 Nissan 350Z which needs its 30,000-mile maintenance checkup. The Nissan dealership that I bought it from gave me a quote of $500, which seems like a lot.
