1996 Dodge Intrepid Battery Goes Down – Engine Won’t Start

I’m having trouble starting my 1996 Dodge Intrepid. The trouble started happening when a friend tried to hook up a cd player but was unable as the player was missing a part. I did notice a loose battery cable which I tightened. Then, it was ok for half a day. Next time I tried to start it the engine did not turn. I have lights, radio,etc. However, when you turn the ignition with the headlights on they do dim. Do you think it could be something electrical from messing with the wires for the cd player? 1997 Chevy Lumina Engine Won’t Turn Over or Start

I have a 97 Chevy Lumina that won’t turn over. There is power to lights all accessories. When I turn key to start the car nothing happens and the Security light is blinking. which has never happen before.

Nissan Lima Altima Service Soon Light Is On

I have a Nissan Lima 2000 (Altima) the radio wouldn’t shut off and now today the service light came on we took it the Nissan dealer and they ran it on the computer and it told them it was, trace vehicle down to wiring between ecm and pu rge valve and so they said they really didn’t no what was wrong with that they charge us $96.09 and told us to bring it back on Wednesday, and now it smells like burning wiring would you have any idea’s what is wrong? Thanks!

How Can I Test My Carburetor Choke and Fuel Pump?

Thanks for your newsletters. I read a newsletter with title of “Sometimes my Car won’t start”. I am sure I learned much from this topic. But still I have a problem related to this topic. I have old vehical & it’s hard to start up sometimes. When this problems comes I u sually add few drops of petroll on the top of carbutator unit in order to make it work. Then its work & don’t make any problems. But again car having same problem after 1 or 2 days idel time.

Plymouth Voyager EGR Valve – What Causes This Code?

Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I have a 1993 Plymouth Voyager SE. For about 4 or 5 months I’ve had an EGR Valve code coming up. I have changed the EGR valve, the EGR transducer and checked to see if the transducer is getting power, which it is. My father-in-law said he read something about a hose from the exhaust manifold that brings the gas back to the EGR might be clogged and need cleaning out. Any help on this, would be a big help.

Chevy Truck Starts and Dies – Carburetor Problem?

I have a 72 Chevy Truck with a rather obscure overheating problem. It’s a puzzle I hope you can crack. It takes about 5 min. driving to overheat and then the rochester 4 barrel carb percolates the fuel and the engine dies.

1998 Mitsubishi Lancer Clutch Makes Noise In Reverse

Can I ask why is my mitsubishi lancer 1.3 (Year 1998)having noise when i am parking. There is a metal to metal knocking one time sound when the brake is applied while in reverse motion at half clutch position. The sound will be gone after that. This sound don’t always appear. I have service my brake caliper and change new brake pad in front and skim the brake behind, but the sound still don’t go away. I just change the full set of clutch because it was burned during going up slope and I wasn’t aware that the clutch pad finished.

1995 Mitsubishi Magna Blue Smoke Out Exhaust System – Why?

I have a problem with my car – a Mitsubishi Magna ’95. it runs fine, but when in traffic for any length of time (around 15 monitues) lots of blue smoke starts to come from the exhaust. After moving again for about 1-2 minutes, the smoke goes away. When the smoke happened, the AC was on, but the temperature gauge was still at normal, and the engine seemed to be turning fine without any signs of overheating. No other indicators came on on the dashboard.

Should I Change The Transmission Fluid on My 1998 Toyota Camry

Should I change the ATF of my 4 cyl. Toyota Camry 1998? I bought it with all 100k miles, but I don’t know if at anytime the ATF was changed, I’ve checked and some people says that if the ATF is dark and smell like a barbecue the transmission is almost dead, but the ATF in my car is like transparent and it smells just like oil.

Mazda RX 7 Blue Smoke Out Exhaust System

I have a mazda RX7 that I recently puchased. The other day I drove it on the highway (35-40 round trip). And the very next day I went to start it up, there was blue smoke (alot) coming from the exhaust. Did i get ripped off?
