2004 Pontiac Grand Prix – Scheduled Maintenance Issue

Reader Question: I drive a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix and have around 30,000 miles on my car. How important is it to have the 30,000-mile check (which is very expensive)?

Is it possible to do only certain maintenance things without doing the entire 30,000 maintenance? If so, could you advise me on what is the most important to have checked and maintained?

I think the 30K in most cases is overrated and overpriced. I put together my own recommendations which I feel cover items that routinely need servicing.
