I have a Hyundai Amica, but the petrol gage is broken on it, how would I go about fixing this problem?

Hi Sarah,

That is NOT an easy repair for the do it yourselfer types. You need to check the voltage going to the fuel sending unit, and coming out of the fuel sending unit. Then test the dash gauge voltage as well to make sure you don’t have a gauge problem.

In most cases if all other dash gauges are working properly the problem lies inside the fuel tank and most likely a bad fuel sending unit is the culprit. This is best left to the pro’s to diagnose unless you really know what you are doing.
