1993 Ford F150 Idle Too Low – Runs Bad When Engine Hot
I have a 1993 F150 5.0 2WD Automatic Transmission Ford truck. I am exasperated with this problem and cannot figure out the problem. Idle is fine for awhile and then slows after engine warm.

Firstly, when I looked you up to ask you the following question, I sincerely didn’t expect to get an auto insurance ad.I did the darn thing tho’ and, after I do a thorough check of their customer’s satisfaction thru the normal avenues, I think I might actually switch to Encompass. I think I might save about $1100 a year and maybe more when my daughter gets her permit because they don’t charge for permitted drivers; they just need to know they are driving! Trust me, this is a phenomenon I’ve never seen and I’ve been with 3 insurance companies over the last 27 years and checked into I don’t know how many others. Obviously, I bookmarked a lot of pages to show my wife. Anyway, onto my question, which I can honestly say, I’m not sure has been addressed in much depth. I have spent……….. I don’t know, I would guess 12 to 15 hours researching before I finally gave up. The problem I have is that, for reasons I need not go into here, the level of our company’s delivery van’s gasoline tank say that 3 times in a row real fast is kept low at all times. In the last 4 years I have been here, the engine, when extremely low on gas starts to rattle and doesn’t stop until we fork over several hundreds of dollars each time to a mechanic. The fact that the check engine light and rattling begins when the fuel is either out or all but out, leads me to think that there is water in the tank due to all the reasons that water gets into tanks, blah, blah, blah.
While I was walking in a parking lot the other day I noticed this tire when you own an auto repair shop you are CONSTANTLY looking for repairs that need to be done on ALL the cars you come in contact with.
My question is about a 2007 Toyota Corolla. It says in the service section to tighten drive shaft bolt every 15k miles. What is the Drive Shaft Bolt? Where is the Drive Shaft Bolt? How do you go about doing this? Is this really necessary? I’ve been doing a lot of research on the internet and no-one seems to know, not even Toyota service technicians.
It seems that recently my automatic climate control is working only on cold or hot. To get cold air I have to set the desired temp at 60. If I set on 70, the hot air starts, even the outside temp is 95.
I am writing to ask for your assistance in helping me determine what is wrong with my car. The car is a 1998 Automatic Nissan Maxima with 100,000 miles. The problem I am having is a loud squealing noise when the engine turns over and while the AC is in use. However , recently the noise continues even while the AC is not in use. Sometimes the squealing will only last a few seconds and other times the squealing will last longer and will even become louder as the gas pedal is pressed.
Had oil changed in a 2000 Yukon 147,000 Miles by a dealership. Around the time that the new oil change was required 150,000 Miles about 3000 miles on the oil the engine started to make a terrible knocking whining noise with no check engine light.
I have a Ford Taurus SE and have 98,000 miles. I just recently got a oil changed at Ford dealership. Their advice was to flush out the transmission fluid and power steering and brake fluids. I check all the fluid and it is dirty.
My wife drives a 1991 Honda Accord. Great little car. Still runs great. It has one serious problem which it has had for several years now. The battery rapidly drains when the car sits for a couple of days. I replaced the alternator and battery each more than once to no avail. I used an amp meter to check drains on various cables while removing fuses and relays, one at a time.
Okay I have 1997 Chevy Lumina, okay my low coolant light is on and won’t go off. I put coolant in the thing. As a matter of fact it is full but that dog on light will not go off. What could be the problem? Did I put to much?
